Steam Iron Vs Dry Iron-Which One is Better?

Steam iron and dry iron are the two major iron varieties. You need to decide for yourself which one is better for you. The following is a quick snapshot:

Water Reservoir- One of the basic differences between steam iron and dry iron is the fact that the reservoir of water is absent in a dry iron. It is due to this water that steam can appropriately be generated, and this makes it easy to iron clothes when an ironing board needs to be used

Another major difference between steam iron and dry iron is the fact that it is possible to take the wrinkles from clothes out much more easily as against an iron without steam.

In fact, steam irons are considered the ideal choice when you want to iron really sensitive cloth including silk, jersey, amongst others.

However, a dry iron works much better if you have to set creases in place.

The number of features that you get in a steam iron is much more as compared to that of dry irons. A dry iron shall only have the basic temperature setting. On the other hand, the steam iron has a wide range of options that can be used while ironing of clothes.

These days steam irons come with an LED display that enables you to know the current setting of the iron.

Another major difference between steam iron and dry iron is the fact that you can always use your steam iron as a dry iron. On the other hand, the reverse is not true. If you do not want to use the steam setting in the steam iron, it can easily become a dry iron.

Thus, with the above differences in mind, you can select between dry and steam iron as per your needs and usage.
